AIDA MELVIN

I am a new addition to the Administrative staff here at Holy Family High School. My background consists of accounting as well as office administration. I attended Pasadena City College to continue my education in Accounting and also received a Certificate in Paralegal studies.  In addition, I have always enjoyed been involved in community service.  When my daughters were little, I started helping in the Sunday Pre-School Program at St. Luke Church and taught the 4 and 5 years old classes. I also served as a Minister to the Altar, and served as Parish Pastoral Council President.  As my girls were growing up and due to their many activities, I became involved in their schools community. I was a PSA-Vice President at St. Luke’s elementary school and as they entered high school I was a School Board member at St. Lucy’s Priory High School.  I also worked with the Development Dept. as a chairperson in charge of purchasing and distribution for their annual Christmas Boutique.

While working at St. Luke School and Parish, I was the SCRIP Bookkeeper and Master Calendar Coordinator.  I was able to revamp the SCRIP program and made more profitable for the school.  I bring with me professionalism, integrity, and tools for a successful fundraising for schools and parishes.
