PHILOSOPHY

PAGE_philosophyNew

Holy Family High School College Preparatory develops women of exceptional character and strong intellect. Students from various ethnic backgrounds come together to share knowledge, culture, and experience growing spiritually, morally, physically, and emotionally. The faculty endeavor to provide adult models of Catholic Christian living, helping each student to appreciate herself, to recognize her value and worth, and to realize her own talents. Through personal guidance, the student learns to cope with day-to-day challenges and to develop a realistic self-image. In this way, HFHSCP prepares students to internalize the Gospel message and to take her place in an every-changing society.

Holy Family High School College Preparatory reinforces the family as the basic societal unit and parents/guardians as the primary educators. HFHSCP encourages the development of strong interpersonal relationships to help foster bonds that nurture adolescent growth. Within this support system, we strive to attain our goal of developing a dynamic, educated, faith-filled leader. We believe that communication, sensitivity toward others, and an understanding and appreciation of diverse cultures are vital for the student’s growth.

The administration, faculty and staff introduce students to the broad spectrum of human achievements and a curriculum centered on the development of critical thinking. A diversified course of study is provided to encourage individual goals, abilities, and interests. Holy Family High School College Preparatory provides our graduates with a solid academic foundation and enthusiasm for life-long learning.

As a Catholic school, we strive to help the student develop all areas of her life within a framework of the Catholic Christian tradition. Throughout the curriculum, the student incorporates Gospel values and principles of social justice into everyday living. She is provided with planning and participating experiences in liturgy, prayer, retreat and the sharing of faith tradition. In this way, Holy Family High School College Preparatory prepares students to internalize the Gospel message and to take her place in an ever-changing society.
