Philosophy
The Physical Education/Visual and Performing Arts/Performing Arts Consortium (PE/VAPA/PAC) teachers and students recognize that physical activity, healthy living, and an appreciation for the arts as part of a core educational experience. The curriculum of the department allows students to learn the importance of hard work, responsibility to a group, risk taking, and creative thinking. Physical education and visual and performing arts engage and affect the student’s whole personality, providing insight to one’s self and humanity. Students build positive relationships with others which prepare them to live and work in a culturally diverse society.
