WORLD LANGUAGES

Philosophy

As the world becomes increasingly interdependent, the need for knowledge of languages is essential.  The majority of our students know a language other than English, which enables teachers to establish a cultural link to the target language being taught.  The focus of the Foreign Languages Department is for all language students to attain communication, both oral and written, cultural awareness, and acceptance of similarities and differences in non-English based languages.
