Board of Directors
Since 2020, the Holy Family High School is governed by a Board of Limited Jurisdiction, who is responsible for the long-term strategy and vision for the school. The Board hires and supports the Head of School and provides strategic oversight of the use of the school’s resources through the Board’s committee work.

I started my career in Catholic education in Santa Barbara as a mathematics teacher before moving into administration. After seven years as an Assistant Head of School for Curriculum & Instruction, I moved into the Head of School role at Holy Family High School. After three years as the Head of School at Holy Family, I moved to Orange County to serve as the Head of School at St. Anne School, where my focus remains on school finance and institutional advancement. I remain active at Holy Family as the Chair of the Board of Directors.
Holy Family is truly a hidden gem of all girls Catholic high schools. The reimagining of the school's program as well as observing how Holy Family's positive and supportive approach to education serves girls so well is the primary reason why I remain committed to leading the Board as we govern the direction and lay the foundation for the future of Holy Family High School.

Ms. Morano retired in June 2020 after 55 years in Catholic education. She began her career teaching high school mathematics, but early on entered into positions of administration. She has served in the dioceses of New York, Philadelphia, Seattle and Los Angeles as a high school principal, College Dean of Students and high school president, culminating her educational career in the final nine years as Assistant Superintendent of High Schools in the Department of Catholic Schools in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. Locally, Ms. Morano served as Principal of Bishop Conaty-Our Lady of Loretto High School for 15 years, 1992-2007, followed by a term of 3 years as President of Don Bosco Technical Institute before moving into the Department of Catholic Schools. Ms. Morano’s two high school principalships in New York City and Los Angeles were all-girls’ Catholic high schools. Empowering young women to be women of faith, women of confidence and women of service to a waiting world is a legacy she hopes to continue as a member of the Board.

My name is Deacon Ron Baker. I was born in Glendale and have been a parishioner of Holy Family Parish my whole life. I attended Holy Family Grade School and Bellarmine Jefferson High School in Burbank, where I met my beloved wife Patti. We were married in 1981 at St. Robert Bellarmine Church in Burbank. We have two adult sons, Jeffrey who is a priest at St. Gregory the Great in Whittier and Matthew who is a US postal carrier in Northern California. I attended Pepperdine University where I obtained a BS in Business management. I obtained my MBA with a focus on Human Resources from Woodbury University in 1999. I retired from AT&T after 36 years. I was ordained a permanent deacon at Our Lady of the Angels Cathedral in Los Angeles on June 9, 2012. I am now a staff member at Holy Family serving as Director of Operations and Ministries for over five years. In my spare time I enjoy gardening, watching movies and the Los Angeles Dodgers! In my ministry, I enjoy working with the marginalized and helping other volunteers to develop their skills in ministering to the marginalized. I enjoy working with the members of Holy Family Catholic Community to build up God's Kingdom.
I am committed to the board for the success of the high school. It is a unique institution for young ladies that need to be nurtured in a small school to become self-confident women leaders for the future.

Mr. Bringas was blessed to be educated in the Catholic school system of Los Angeles. His path to Holy Family HS started in athletics as a long-time coach for Volleyball, Basketball, and Track & Field where his teams won several Horizon League Championships and trips to CIF-SS Playoffs multiple years. Over the years, he has served as the Asst. Head of School for Advancement, Vice-Principal, Director of Student Life, and, most importantly, teacher. This new role as Head of School is exciting and he is grateful to work with a Board that truly cares about the school, the students, and the importance of an all-girls Catholic education.
Holy Family High School is such a special place and you feel that BVM spirit in our school. The opportunity for our young women to live the school's mission to recognize their gifts, discover their voice, and find their purpose is lived here. I am so excited about the work that the Board is doing to enhance our school and the work of our teachers speaks volumes about the gifts they share with our young women now and in the future. Whether our students are in the classroom, out on the court/field, in a lab, serving others, or supporting each other, the spirit of being a Gael lives within them. GO GAELS!!!
